On Target is an accredited and approved Firearms Training Academy and Shooting Range situated in George, Western Cape. Maintaining a high standard, and consistently improving its facilities through growth, is very important to the management as well as offering quality training through On Target Firearms Training Academy.

It is conveniently located along the R102 (Airport Road) approximately 4km away from the George Airport. Its registered and accredited staff uphold the core values of ethics, quality and pride.

Training

We offer prescribed training for competency and licensing with unit standards that align with international training standards as per Professional Firearms Training Council (PFTC), the governing authority in South Africa.

Events

We host and accommodate club shoots and competitions for dedicated and affiliated sport-shooters and hunters as well as many security related companies and law enforcement authorities.

Shooting Experience

Our staff are qualified and there to assist you in having a safe yet fun time while shooting various firearms. We will start off with a safety brief before setting up the courses of fire with targets. Bookings are essential.

PLATINUM MEMBERSHIP R1350.00 / YEAR
(Unlimited range visits, NO day fees applicable, Member of the Club and will get discount on arranged shooting competition days.)

GOLD MEMBERSHIP R800.00 / YEAR
(Member will pay R20.00 day fee per range visit, Member of the Club and will get discount on arranged shooting competition days.)

FAMILY MEMBERSHIP R1800.00 / YEAR
*Husband, wife and children. (Unlimited range visits, NO day fees, Member of the Club and will get discount on arranged shooting competition days.)

NON MEMBER DAY FEE R150.00 / DAY

JOINING RENEWAL ADMIN FEE – R300:
Our membership period starts 01 November each year and will be valid till 31 October the following year. Should you renew a current membership during November you will be exempted from having to pay the R300.00 admin fee. New members joining after 30 November will pay a Pro rata fee for membership.

MEMBERS (EXCEPT GOLD MEMBERS):
Will not pay a day fee for their Saturday Club Shoot events. Only the competition fee as determined by the specific shooting organization. (Members must be able to produce their membership cards upon each range visit or will be liable to pay the full day fee).

NEW MEMBERS:
Wanting to join the club within any of the last 6 months of our financial / membership year will pay 50% pro rata of the membership package they choose plus the joining fee. Your membership will then only be valid till 31 October of that same year and must be renewed 1st November with all other memberships.

Eden County Gunslingers

Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS) is a competitive shooting sport using guns you have seen in countless Western movies. Cowboys are friendly folk, always willing to welcome newcomers and share their experience, so come and try it out.

Shoots are held on the mornings of the first Saturday of the month starting around 8:30, weather permitting, so best check beforehand with Kevin (082 877 0792) or Garth (083 677 5066).

In South Africa CAS is accredited as a shooting sport through Western Shooters of South Africa so you can be recognised as a dedicated sports shooter.

Outeniqua Shooting Club

OSC are a family-friendly, sport shooting club based in the scenic Garden Route.
They provide a fun, informative, safe, and competitive environment for anyone wishing to get more enjoyment out of their firearms.

Their club shoots are run at our shooting facility, one of the most beautiful shooting ranges in the country.

They are currently affiliated to the South African Defensive Pistol Association (SADPA)

SAHGCA

South African Hunters & Game Conservation Association is a professional association for those that are dedicated not only to hunting but the ethics of hunting, and keeping your skill level up by attending the shoots with your fellow dedicated shooters.

NHSA

The National Hunting & Shooting Association (NHSA) is focused on assisting the busy but enthusiastic hunter and/or sport shooter who cannot always participate in the usual structured activities presented by other associations in South Africa.

Members participate in NHSA related activities as their time allows them, and where it is easiest for them to partake in said activities.

NARFO

National Association of Responsible Firearm Owners is accredited in terms of the Firearms Control Act for Hunting and Sport Shooting. Their goal is to promote the safe, legal and responsible use of firearms for sport shooting, hunting and self protection. They strive to create a positive image for all legal firearm owners.

As a gun owner, it is your duty and responsibility to yourself to always follow gun safety rules and ensure that you owning a firearm makes the world a safer place and does not harm you or those around you. Part of the responsibility of being a gun owner is to be proficient with your weapon. The more comfortable you are with handling, loading and unloading, and firing your weapon, the safer you will be.

Even the most experienced gun owners must always continue learning and adapting. Laws change, firearms change, and situations change.
